Plain and simple, I'm tired of caring. Why can't I be one of those people that only cares about myself and could give a hoot about anyone else? Man, that must be liberating!!
Plain and simple, I'm tired of the holidays. I hate all of the planning leading up to them. I miss the old days where we knew exactly where we were going to be on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Now I never know until the week that leads up to each, if even then, and its just nauseating and depressing.
Plain and simple, I hate my birthday as well. Again, I miss the old days of someone else planning my birthday and me just going with the flow. Now I have all these expectations and am usually disappointed. Why is that? When did my birthday become some big day that must be celebrated in a big way? It was the day I was born, big deal. Maybe I can sleep from the 1st through the 14th next November and just not think about it. Or maybe I should just grow up and not let it be a big deal.
I guess I just woke up on the complete wrong side of the bed this morning. Maybe I should shut the curtains, take some tylenol pm, and start over in a few hours...

ha! What a joke!!
Its hard to believe that its almost been a year since I've last post. What's even more unbelievable is that I haven't really done anything on my list of "to do's" in 09. Not surprising. Nope, still don't know Spanish. I am getting a little better at understanding a few things, but don't ask me to speak back to you in anything other than English. Nope, not an awesome bread baker either. I have used my bread baker several times, but not enough to become a bread expert. The only thing on my list that I may actually have right is that Jose and I are most definitely talking about having children soon. We aren't trying yet, but know we will be soon. :)
Though I may not have fulfilled my list of things I wanted to do this year, I did have a good year. I didn't bake much bread, but I did bake a lot of cakes!!! My name is a little more known here in Decatur and hope it continues to reach more. It is hard banking during the day and baking at night, but I know I must keep it going so that I can start my own bakery one day.
My best friend had a beautiful baby boy this year. It was fun getting ready for her wedding last year and baby this year. I sure wonder what next year has in store for her!!! Cooper Lee is the most precious little boy. I love him like he's part mine. :) I hope to give him a playmate in the next year. :)
I know this is a short post, but with this new laptop my wonderful husband bought me for my birthday, I hope to continue posting more. We shall see!!

Happy 2009!
Ok, I'm told by family I don't blog enough so in order to keep up with my brothers, (who also haven't blogged in days) I'll try to write something. I just don't feel my life is as interesting as theirs and I definitely don't write as well them either. So, excuse any misspelled words, missplaced commas or punctuation and try to enjoy. :)
I have great hopes for 2009. I turned 25 last Novemeber and feel old. I realize that I will not be young forever and really need to get stuff straight. I'll have been married for two years this April and am starting to get a baby itch. I realize Jose and I are no where near ready to be mommy and daddy, but I can't help but feel a tug inside when I see sweet little babies and families. Though I do admit the fairy tale family vision in my mind fades away when I'm in Walmart and see the screaming toddlers and mother's who look so frazzled. But even still, I can't wait to be mother. Jose says two more years, I say we talk about it at the end of this one. :)
So, besides convincing Jose that we might be ready for kids soon, I plan on working really hard to learn spanish this year. Jose's family speaks beautiful fluent Spanish and since my kids will one day speak Spanish as well, I gotta step up. Stan, my stepdad, has agreed to split the cost of the language learning program Rossetta Stone. I know you have probably seen the commercials, the latest one with Michael Phelps. It says the program is used my the military and NASA. Surely its has to be top notch! (With the cost of the program, it better be!) So, I'm going to learn Spanish.
Another thing I want to become good at this year is baking bread. My sister in law Julie gave me a bread machine for Christmas and I love it!! I haven't bought a loaf of bread since I got it! Its so easy to make fresh bread! But besides becoming master of the bread machine, I also want to learn to bake great bread by hand as well. I've dug out my culinary books from school and am going to really study and learn all I can about the art of bread baking. Besides cakes and cookies, I'll be adding bread to my bakery one day.
Well those are a few my to-do's in '09. I'll try to keep you up to date with how things are going. Happy 2009!
